To promote nature conservation, Van Mahotsav was celebrated by NSS Dr. (Mrs) Charanjit Mahal welcomed the celebrious artists alongwith volunteers on 20^th August, 2011. 70 ecofriendly trees were planted that will enhance the beauty of this area in a natural manner.

 A 7 day special NSS Camp on the theme of Environment including Preservation of Natural Resources and Conservation of Cultural / Historical Heritage was organized from 20^th May to 27^th May, 2011.

Two NSS Volunteers Ashu, M.Sc. I and Davinder Kaur B.SC. III attended NSS Mega Camp 2011 at Junnar District, Pune from 18^th – 29^th June, 2011.

Nutrition Day was celebrated by the NSS volunteers on 7^th September, 2011 in order to inculcate good eating habits amongst the youngsters.

Celebrating the International Literacy Day on 8^th September, 2011. College NSS Volunteers interacted with class IV employees to make them recognize the importance of literacy.

Five NSS volunteers, Amrita, Vidushi, Indpreet, Manpreet and Manjot Kaur attended National Integration Camp at Mata Gujri Degree College, Fathegarh Sahib from 9^th -15^th May, 2011.

Priya Sharma and Inderpreet Kaur attended Summer Adventure Programme 2011 at WHMI (Khara Pathar) Shimla from 8^th – 17^th June, 2011

The NSS Wing of the College remained active through out the session, involving the maximum number of students in the service of the nation in the true spirit. This session, besides organizing a 10 days special NSS Camp, NSS Volunteers also marked special occasions such as Van Mahotsav, Gurpurab, International Literacy Day, National Nutrition Week, Communal Harmony Week and Flag Day, World Human Rights Day, International Thalassaemia Day, AIDS Awareness Camp, Adventure camps and also organized several Blood donation Camps. A special camp was also organized on the theme of Environment and Preservation of Natural Resources and Conservation of Cultural and Historical Heritage. Students also attended a national level summer adventure camp at Shimla and NSS Mega Camp and Adventure Training Programme at Delhi. Also a mass counselling session was organized to facilitate the students to choose better career options.
