The institution runs 16 Post Graduate, 10 Under Graduate, 7 Vocational Diploma and 12 Add-on Courses.  
  College bagged 5th Position in Overall  Sports Championships in Panjab University.  
  The College runs Community Radio 90.4 MHz which broadcasts programmes from 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM daily and extends education to the community.  
 

An Award of Honour was conferred on Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal by Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh.  
 

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, faculty of Physical Education and six outstanding sports students were felicitated at the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of Panjab University, Chandigarh in recognition of their meritorious contribution towards the cause of bringing laurels to the university at International, National and All India Inter-University Levels.  
 

The college has an imposing four-storeyed building comprising an entire Arts wing, a high-tech four-storeyed Science/Fashion Designing Block and a three- storeyed academic wing housing the Commerce, Management, Computer Science faculties, three-storeyed block for IGNOU Study Centre, two-storeyed block for PG Courses of History & Political Science, two-storeyed Cafeteria building and three-storeyed Fashion Designing block.  
 

A hi-tech air-conditioned server room with five servers, LAN, Domain Controller, Additional Domain Controller, LINUX, Proxy Server, Anti-Virus Admin Console and 190 computers in all, working round the clock for monitoring and managing all daily routine activities, including intra-mail and intra-net facilities, with a view to implement the concept of corporate sector and paperless office.  
 

College has eight SMART class rooms with interactive boards and full multimedia capability.  
    Effective Communication Center including high-tech state of the art Language Lab.  
 

The college runs IGNOU Study Centre offering 180 courses. It is the only centre in the Punjab Region marked to have an EDUSAT installed for tele-conferencing.  
 

The NSS, NCC & Youth Red Cross Society of the College continuously extend education and service to the community in form of Blood Donation Camps, Adult Education, Tree Plantation etc.  
 

The college boasts of a modern air-conditioned Auditorium, air-conditioned Seminar Hall, air-conditioned Conference Hall and air-cooled Reading Hall.  
 

136 Class rooms, 28 Labs of Science, 22 Fashion Designing Labs, 5 Cosmetology Labs, 9 Computer Labs, Music Labs, a Dance Lab, a Fine Arts Lab, Museums of Punjabi Heritage & Culture, Botany and Zoology, Dispensary, 4 Generators of 200 KW, 160 KW, 160 KW and 82 KW capacity, sports facilities etc. are other assets of the college.  
 

Library with Internet facility, replete with 29000 books, 123 Magazines, and 19 Newspapers satiates the intellectual urge of the students.  
 

A modern hostel includes one Reading Hall, two Recreation Halls, Gymnasium, air-cooled Dining Hall, Cafeteria and modern stylish wash rooms.  
 

Free education, free boarding & lodging is provided to the meritorious students in academic, cultural and sports activities.  
 

College bagged 119 positions among the Top Ten positions of Panjab University in 2009-2010.  
 

In the Panjab University Zonal Youth & Heritage Festival (Zone-B), the college won 15 prizes at the Zonal level and 6 at Inter-Zonal level in various categories during 2010-11.  
 

In all, the college won 128 prizes in various para-academic activities, competitions, contests, scholarships etc. in the current session.  
 

The College sports champions were able to clinch 148 medals including 59 gold, 39 silver and 50 bronze medals in the session 2010-2011.  
 

PG Departments of Economics, Commerce & Management organized 2 International Seminars on 'Business Strategies' as well as 'Food and Retail Systems in India and USA on 6.9.2010 and 17.9.2010 respectively.  
 

Dr. Philip L. Balcean from the University of British Columbia, Canada gave a presentation on 'Critical Thinking' to the college faculty on 11.12.2010.  
 

Dance Department organized a 10-Day Dance Workshop with renowned Dance Guru Dr. Roop Singh Shekhawat.  
 

Apart from this, each teaching department of the college organized a minimum of three seminars/ extension lectures in their respective fields with a view to provide quality education to young aspirants in a stimulating environment of independent thinking and innovation in various disciplines.  
 

Mr. Satpal Singh, D.S.O., Ludhiana inaugurated Annual Athletic Meet on 11.2.2011 and Col. Nishith Chandra, Commandant, 26th Bn., ITBPF, Baddowal, Ludhiana presided over the closing ceremony on 12.2.2011.  
 

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Vijay Oberoi, former Vice-Chief of Army Staff, presided over the Annual Prize Distribution Function held on 16.2.2011.  
 

Mr. Harish Rai Dhanda, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Punjab presided over Fashion Flora '11 on 19.2.2011.  
 

The Old Students Meet organized by the Alumni Association on 18.3.2011 was presided over by S. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust. Lt. Col. Subhash Sehgal, Commanding Officer, 3 Pb. Bn., NCC, Ludhiana was the Guest of Honour. 30 distinguished Alumni who have made it big in life were honoured.  
 

The Convocation-2011, the biggest event of academic career was held on 19.3.2011. Mr. Rahul Tiwari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana was the Hon'ble Chief Guest. 364 PG degrees, 525 Graduate degrees, 78 College Colour and 33 Roll of Honour were awarded to distinguished students. Besides 35 NCC cadets were appreciated for their dedicated efforts.  
 

Trips and Tours to different places of the country were organized.  
 

Newsletter 'Amazing Grace' and Magazine 'Kesar Kiari' provide opportunity to budding writers.  
 

Festivals like Lohri, Teej, Teacher's Day, Gurpurab, Faculty-wise Ms. Fresher Contest/Welcome Functions and Farewell Functions were organized.

   College has introduced Coaching for IELTS / Sopoken English/ Effective Communication & Personality Grooming from this academic session.
 

The success chapter of this historic institution would not have unfolded so splendidly, had it not at its helm a thinking and committed visionary Mr. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust, who with his distilled wisdom has been a perpetual guiding force. I appreciate the continuous efforts of the competent 278 teaching and non-teaching faculty members who work with integrity and dedication for uplifting the standard of education. The dream of our late founder-Justice Gurnam Singh has been realized to its core and we can proudly claim, 'Give us a girl and take back a lady.' I solemnly pledge to lead the college on the winning track and reinforce the message that where there is vision, success surely follows.
